We are currently recruiting for multiple firms for an Assurance Manager for Downtown Vancouver.These roles are client facing and the purpose is to deliver assurance and advisory services for public companies and to work with junior staff with respect to mentorship and guidance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and conduct external audits and advisory engagements for publicly-listed clients;
- Read and review financial statements and accompanying notes;
- Plan and lead audit teams, ensuring expectations are set and clearly communicated;
- Train and develop junior staff;
- Assist with client management and foster excellent relationships with clients, including managing the information flow;
- Provide clients with sound solutions and advice.
Required Qualifications:
- CPA with a minimum of one years of experience working as an Assurance Manager in a public practice firm;
- Experience working with publicly-listed companies, in particular mining, oil and gas, technology is ideal;
- Experience with Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, CaseWare and Taxprep.

- Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage time and adhere to strict deadlines and budget;
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple engagements concurrently;
- Ability to adapt methodologies and techniques to unique circumstances;
- Proven leadership, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
